It's a very human thing to imagine that the person you're in love with now will turn out to be the one you spend the rest of your life with. This tends to be true whether you're a teenager and there's very little chance of it, or whether you're sort getting to the age when it wouldn't be insane to think that. While it's true that most people will want to date at least of couple of others before making a forever choice, that's not always the case and there definitely are people who grow old with their first ever serious partner. But these are things you can't possibly know at just a year into a relationship. All you can really do is keep enjoying it in the moment and try not to worry whether he's "the one". You sound pretty flexible in terms of trying new things and being willing grow together with him. Maybe don't put so much thought into the future and try to live more in the present.
