It really is shocking how vast the fortifications at Alesia were. The 11-mile (17 km) wall encircling the town was an amazing feat of its own, but Caesar ordering an additional 13 miles (20 km) of fortifications to be built around THAT wall was pretty incredible.

Earth if it had Saturn’s ring system. They would probably reflect so much sunlight that our planet would never fully plunge into darkness, which would have a significant affect on our biosphere. One thing is certain though, they would look absolutely stunning, especially at night.

The largest volcano in the Solar System, Olympus Mons on Mars, is so big that if it was in North America, it would be about the size of the entire state of Arizona.
