Untreated mastitis can cause all sorts of long term issues like loss of sensation, loss of elasticity/nipple function/might lose your nipples altogether, if the infection spreads to your bloodstream from going septic that's going to be horrible for everybody! You being in pain, with a fever & nausea, should have warranted sympathy if not empathy but he straight up said he hates you.

I got medication and my fever finally went down this morning. I’m trying to figure out how to leave without putting my son at risk of homelessness. He’s only 4 months old. My husband did not lose his job and he thinks I need to apologize for “abandoning” them for two hours. I would have taken my son if I hadn’t felt so weak and lightheaded.

Any update OP? Are you ok? 100% agree, this is abusive behavior and it’s not okay for your mental health. It’s also taking away from your ability to show up for your baby the way you want to. He needs to do better, or else you deserve better. I hope you can be kind to yourself and know that you are so loved and needed by so many in your life. <3

I was you. The fighting escalated and became physical and financial abuse. I left him when our son was 1 1/2. I hadn’t slept for more than 2 hours a night in that entire time. You are experiencing abuse. I still feel awful about myself like you do (no money,family,friends) but my son is 7 now. He sleeps 12 hours, no problem. And he needs me. When a boy has a father who is an abusive piece of shit, he needs a kind, gentle, loving mother to balance it out and have a chance at a good life. Or the cycle will continue with him. Stay strong for your baby. It will get easier, I promise…

How did you leave? If I could find a way out, I would. I’ve tried the police four times already and they just say I have ppd and don’t do anything. He also pretended to be me and sent a text from my phone saying I’m going to kill myself and the baby. I would never do that. I feel trapped
