I'm very well aware it's irrational, and that's why I'm feeling guilty about it. To give a simple example I would feel more comfortable at a first glance when I meet someone who's first name is Matthieu or Guillaume for example than someone who's first name is Nawaf. It doesn't make sense to me either and it's a struggle.

I was raised as a Muslim fearing Christian as well when I was a kid by my family in Lebanon. When I grew and moved back to US and started mingling more with Muslims, I actually started liking them more and more to the point that most my friends are Muslims and I just don't see or care about differences or religion at my age.

That's really nice to hear. I think I had some bad interactions here at work with some Moroccan colleagues who would start saying France is a horrible country and that they shouldn't let women be managers because they shouldn't hold positions of power. It unsettled me (that was a group of 4 moroccans)
