Unlocking desktop takes an extra keystroke?
For years I was able to unlock my XFCE desktop computer by typing my password. There was no need to jiggle the mouse first or to 'wake' the password prompt by pressing any key.
I recently upgraded to the latest Debian release (yes that's like a year after it was released) and to XFCE 4.18. Now whenever I try to unlock the desktop computer it fails on the first try because I mistyped my password. Some testing confirms my suspicion that some action (a key press or a mouse jiggle) is required before typing the password.
Two questions:
Is there a way to get the old behavior back?
Is this considered a bug or is it desired behavior (like on MacOS and Windows)?
