“I only drink red wine” your thoughts.

More and more often I talk wine with new people I meet and ever so often when I switch the topic to white I am met with the comment “oh, I only drink red wine”. Quite often, it is a comment I hear from people claiming to be knowledgeable about wine.

But, can you “be into” wine if you don’t like anything other than red? What do you guys think?

Also I hear the comment “I only drink Pinot” - which I think is a really arrogant stance.
