Wine Bars in San Francisco?

I just moved to the Bay Area in March and my mom and best friend are coming to visit. I'd like to take them to a cool wine bar in the city before we go see a show near Civic Center. I trust y'all much more than the SF sub... Anyone familiar and have recommendations?
