Details about the companion “Companion treasure” event

Basic information

Event Duration: Companion Treasure runs from 12/9/2024, 00:00:00 to 1/5/2025, 23:59:59 UTC+0.

  1. Play games in the specified modes to obtain and open Treasures that contain either a regular or grand reward. One Grand Reward is guaranteed for every 10 Treasures opened.

  2. Party up with friends or bring high star level Companions into games to increase your chances ot obtaining Grand Rewards. The base chance of receiving a Grand Reward is 30% and can be boosted to a maximum of 60%.

  3. Triple the rewards will be granted for your first three Grand Rewards of the day.

  4. Eligible modes are: Normal PVP, Ranked, ARAM, URF, ARURF, One for All, Ultimate Spellbook, Spellbook ARAM, Hextech ARAM, and Showdown.

  5. Grand Reward odds are calculated as follows: base odds (30%) + sum of bonus odds (based on the Companions brought into the game by all party members).

  6. Players found committing violations in-game will have their rewards halved.

  7. A maximum of 200 Treasure Gold and 10,000 Treasure Silver can be earned per week. Any Treasure Gold earned after the Treasure Gold cap is reached will be converted into Treasure Silver at a ratio of 1:10. Once the Treasure Silver cap is reached, any Treasure Gold or Treasure Silver obtained will be converted into 10 Blue Motes.

You can get 10, 6 or 3 gold form the grand prize or 500, 300, 200 ,150 or 100 silver form the basic prize.

Extrapolate information

At a 30% chance you get 1.9 gold per game and 175 silver. To average max gold you would need to play 105 games per week or 35 games per week if you of you use the 3x multiplier. For silver it’s 75.3 games but if you’re maxing the 3x gold multiplier you only need 67 game per week.

The fastest way to complete this is through aram.

Note: I’m not exactly sure how this works but any gold or silver is converted into 10 blue mote over the weekly limit. It’s probably means instead any rewards you just get 10 blue moths. But it would be interesting to see if you got 10 blue moths per gold/silver
