Volvo XC90 vs. Lincoln Aviator, or else?

I currently drive a 2019 Volvo XC90 and am looking into my next car. I've been very happy with the Volvo -- it's been reliable and I've had very few issues, it drives nice, has good pickup, handles well in the snow (I live in the Midwest so that's a factor). I'm debating getting another one since it's been a good car for me, but am considering what my other options may be that may have a bit more interior room without getting into a huge car.

I have a 2 month old and a 4 year old, so we'll have car seats for the foreseeable future. The one thing with the Volvo is it seems maybe a bit tight inside, room-wise (which the car seats don't help, for sure). It's definitely doable for us, but I'm wondering if the Lincoln Aviator may have a bit more in the way of legroom/interior space that would be noticeable? It's a bit longer and wider than the Volvo. I know a full-size SUV or minivan is the ultimate solution for that problem, but given my commute I'm not interested in getting a car much larger than the XC90/Aviator/Q7-ish size. But it would be great to find something that maybe has a tad more space.

I like that the Aviator comes with captain's chairs which makes the third row more accessible. I had always thought I'd go with a bench in the back, but with two car seats at the moment, the middle seat is basically rendered useless, so I figure I may as well have the third row easier to get to. Volvo offers a captain's chairs configuration too, but they aren't true captain's chairs -- they essentially just took out the middle seat, so the two seats don't even have armrests on both sides (something the Volvo salesman himself told me is a reason he isn't a fan of the XC90 with the captain's chair configuration). My XC90 has the bench seat with the built-in booster, which I have to say is an awesome option and I'm not sure of any other car that offers it. But again, I'm not using the middle seat much at the moment with car seats. (My oldest is a peanut and is probably a ways off from a booster seat still, but it is nice to use for occasionally picking up nieces and nephews, etc.)

Anyone have the Aviator who can weigh in on what you like? Don't like? I've also considered the Audi Q7, but I believe they only offer a bench seat in the rear, and I have a feeling room-wise it will be the same as the XC90. I'm also not a fan of the piano black gloss interior on the Q7 (sounds silly, but I know folks who say it drives them crazy because of the glare and that it's impossible to keep clean since it shows every speck of dust, and I know that will get on my nerves).
