The locks over almost EVERY item in the makeup and skincare isles is so so annoying

I understand the need to prevent theft, but when almost every single thing is locked up, and no employees are around it’s so frustrating. I wanted to get a lip balm, one single lip balm, but it was locked up. I had to look through a bunch of isles to find an employee, who told me I had to ask someone at customer service to unlock it. So then I’m standing in the customer service line, while people making returns and having issues are ahead of me and understandably taking a while. I decided to just not buy the lip balm. Having locks on every single item just makes me not want to get anything because I know it will be a hassle. And if they have to have so much stuff locked up, at least allow all employees to be able to unlock stuff. Having to wait at customer service to buy a single makeup item is stupid and makes me just feel like why bother. I just don’t understand why Walmart thinks that is a good system.
