Wenger service update

So I had posted recently about Wenger replacement scales. I have an old Wenger Handyman that needed work. Functionally the knife is fine, blade is fine but the scales are chipped and could be replaced. The knife’s joints are stiff too but nothing a little time in an ultrasonic cleaner couldn’t fix. So I sent it in for a service to Victorinox in Connecticut. This was returned today, the old knife with nothing done and a brand new Evolution 18. While I’m just a tiny bit disappointed that no work was done on the old one…hey, almost free new knife! I get it, the Evo 18 has the same tool set as the Handyman so it’s more than a great replacement. Now I’ll get to it serving the old knife.
