Would being a certified veterinary assistant strengthen a vet school application?

My GPA is not competitive whatsoever so I'm looking for other ways to strengthen my application. Would this sort of certification be helpful in the long run?? It seems like some online programs are pretty budget friendly, so it's not like I am throwing a ton of money towards something. I am so helpless
