US VISA B1/B2 APPROVED AFTER REJECTION

I applied from India.

Wanted to share my experience to help others who might be going through the same thing. I gave my first interview for US visa back in September at Delhi Consulate but ended up getting a 214b slip at my appointment due to insufficient documentation. I had used a agent I found through someone on this subreddit, and they booked my slots, I wasn’t fully prepared and didn’t have all the right documents.

After that rejection, I took some time to gather everything I needed—proof of ties to my home country, financial statements, and a solid travel itinerary. I decided to stick with the same agent to book a new appointment, and they managed to get me an early slot on October 26 at the Mumbai consulate.

This time, The questions were pretty straightforward:

"What’s the purpose of your trip?" "How long do you plan to stay in the US?" "Can you tell me about your job?" "Are you married?"

I explained my travel plans confidently and made sure to emphasize my job and family connections back home. The interviewer looked through my DS Form but didn’t mention my previous rejection at all. After a few minutes, I was over the moon when they said, “Your visa is approved!”

This whole experience taught me how important it is to be prepared. I’ve noticed a lot of people getting approved lately, and it really seems to depend on timing and being ready.

Good luck to everyone on your visa journeys!
