1 ОШБ is still recruiting!

1st Separate Assault Battalion is still recruiting English speakers! We are looking to fill a variety of roles. While prior military service is strongly encouraged, we do accept trained/experienced civilians as well.

Our English speaking detachment is primarily looking to fill “light infantry” roles such as assault, recon, mortar, drones etc.

We are also interested in qualified medical personnel; corpsmen, combat medics, EMTs, trauma nurses, surgeons etc.

Outside of the English speaking detachment we are recruiting for mechanics and welders. Prior experience as a mechanic in a NATO army or experience working on soviet equipment is a valuable and sought after skill here. Be advised however that nearly all of our maintenance crew speak only Ukrainian or russian. The language barrier presents challenges but can be worked around.

Know that this is war, people will be killed, people will be injured. Even those physically unharmed will be altered emotionally. This is not a decision to take lightly. This is not a playground for the unsure, the egotistical or the unstable.

Before you come it is necessary to be in good physical shape, to ready yourself mentally and to start learning the language. Even in the English speaking detachment knowledge of Ukrainian will be a vital skill.

If you are interested in applying Please prepare a short resume. Include your full name, contact information and Reddit username. If you are prior service attach your DD214 (member 4) or equivalent documentation from your home country’s army. Also in your email include your estimated arrival date in Ukraine. If you have not already, download the Signal app as you will be contacted through that if we want to move forward. Email this information to 1stSeparateAssaultBattalionDaVinci@proton.me

Please be aware that our recruiters are actual soldiers and you may be waiting some time for a response.

Thank you
