How They’re “Hidden”

Because it pertains to all boxes, and JCB gave so much of his time to the Fenn hunt, and created this in response to that, I’m feeling like the way these boxes are hidden might be similar to how Fenn’s was suspected to be? Anyone have any ideas?

My understanding is that it was likely buried, which he has said these are not, but would a hatch or partially submerged hatch be considered buried? There would be no digging involved which would align with his verbiage…

For the rock theory, he mentions green and/or rocks a lot and a part of me thinks that might be a decoy. For the smaller boxes it would work but creating a larger box for the LS and getting it to the location discretely doesn’t sound plausible, it would be a big a$$ fake rock that would have to fit in an oversized backpack, which might not be appropriate for a trail less than 3 miles from a road. (Just for the record, I’m very much believing this isn’t an extended hike, leaning into the idea that he says you do not need to be an avid outdoorsman to complete the hunt.)

Lastly, if he had Seth Gould create the boxes, it would not be much more for him to ask for custom hatches that fit the boxes perfectly.
