Sudden nodule growth, waiting for results
Looking for experiences and advice from anyone whose had something close to what I have!
I've had 1 nodule on the bottom right side of my thyroid since 2016 (had ultrasound, blood test and fna done and it was benign, they told me to come back when I had a hard time swallowing or breathing) but around 2 weeks ago it suddenly got bigger in a couple of days and it feels like its still slowly growing bigger.
Size of nodule : 2017 3 32mm 2018 4 27mm
My blood test results from 2016 : Thyroglobin 32.3 Tg -Ab 10>
Blood test results from 2018 : TSH 1.89 FT3 2.36 FT4 1.06 Thyroglobin 48.0 H Tg -Ab 18
I have trouble breathing (I can only take shallow breaths and it takes a lot of effort to take big breathes)
I have a cough that comes from my lungs feeling like it's constantly under pressure and the lymph nodes on the right side of my neck has become swollen twice since my nodule started getting bigger (one time my ear, neck and shoulder hurt until I took a painkiller and put ice but I think it was from my ear pierce getting a mild infection, another time is right now as I'm writing this but theres no pain or suspected infection).
I have all the symptoms of thyroid cancer except for a horase voice or difficulty swallowing. I'm just really hoping it's not cancer. I had an ultrasound and blood test done (idk why but no fna) and my results are coming in 9 days.
Since my lump got bigger I've been researching about thyroids and have changed my diet completely. I used to eat lots of fast food, pasta, cup ramen and pre made food with little to no nutrition, but this experience has made me immediately change to eating whole foods and cutting out alot of things that are sad to be bad for thyroid health.
Please if anyone had or has a similar experience to me tell me how it went or how its going! I'm worried that even if it's not the worst case, the doctor will tell me everything is normal and that I can have surgery to take it out if I want to with no other answers. If I can I'm looking into trying RFA paired with eating clean and really taking care of my overall health. Please let me know if any of you have experiences with RFA or changing your diet!
Thank you and wishing you all the best🩷
