Is there anything I could do about the moon phases being out of order? + more questions in description

It was supposed to be a ship with the phases of the moon around it in order, but the moon pahses are out of order and it's bugging me. Also I kind of feel like they look like yellow blobs instead of moons. Is there anything I could do to 1. Make them into the correct order, e.g. by going back over them or something? 2. Make them look more like moons and less like yellow blobs?

The tattoo has an important meaning to me that isn't the same without the moon phases.

Also I chose the purple (I was given a choice between that and blue while he was tattooing me, and I defaulted to purple because it is my favourite colour), but I'm not entirely happy with it. I feel like it looks more like a bruise than the night sky and that it doesn't match the other colours in the tattoo - is there anything I could put over the top, like a pattern or shading with blue or something? It's fine if no seems like the likely answer - I love purple and can live with it, just feeling hopeful :P

The tattoo is around four months old now.
