Isolation in multiplayer

A lot of people have woried multiplayer in subnautica 2 will ruin the sense of isolation that made the first game so terrifying, and I had an idea to fix that. What if the players spawn in different lifepods? They would be in roughly the same biome but spread out, so they have to gather a few resources on their own to get started. The game should have proximity chat on the surface, but underwater you would need to fabricate some sort of short range comms. For long distances and early game, you should be able to record messages and send them via lifepod radios. Vehicles would automatically have radio between nearby vehicles and comms. Maybe to drive the feeling of isolation later in the game, some creature might be able to jam your comms. These are all just ideas, so I don't know how well they'd fit.
