Nova Arctis pro: why are all the reviewers praising the ANC? Am I missing something?

I love everything about the headset (batteries, charging station ... are amazing) but ....

The ANC is really really bad. I can hear what everyone is saying around me while I'm sitting in front of my laptop. Sound is great, but heck, I'm even hearing my fans! Not even talking about the BRRRR noise.
