RED or Schweitzer next week?

Considering a 3-4 day roadtrip to ski Schweitzer or RED next week (I’m on IKON) and would love your thoughts as I’ve never been to either. Things to consider: I’m an intermediate skier (can comfortably do groomed blacks and blue moguls) and solo (so no backcountry/side-country), RED is about 1.5 hours farther from me (6.5 hours) than Schweitzer, and am traveling solo (would be happy with hostel-style accommodations where I can meet others) and appreciate a decent apres. Understand this is the week of New Years and accommodations will be tight/expensive - while I’m looking to keep to a budget (Canadian exchange rate is attractive), sleeping in the car isn’t an option. Note: I would rather spend most of my time skiing so driving to both is probably not the best option for this trip. Thanks!
