Custom DK Motion System Brackets for Flat Face Extrusion by www.vthrotl.com
More aesthetically pleasing (to some) the flat face extrusion, or extrusion lacking the mounting channels does present a problem when mounting additional components including motion actuators.
Vthrotl Simulations (London, Ontario, Canada) has designed a special c-style bracket to firmly mount the actuators to the remaining top and bottom slots of the extrusion. The bracket holds tight and transfers haptics appropriately back to the chassis and driver as it has more than one face to connect to. This stresses the importance of mounting haptic systems. You want the haptic system to be as close to and as firmly mounted to the chassis as possible. Any extensions from the chassis, arms and otherwise may not make the best connection and create issue over time.
