Anyone versed in Septic Pumps for residential?

Question for anyone familiar with septic pumps, as I’m slowly becoming an expert. We recently built a brand new home and were told we required a septic pump, which the builder installed (wasn’t told about this before starting construction even though I’m finding out now the builder knew about it beforehand).

Anyway we’ve owned the home now for 2 years and have had nothing but issues with this septic pump. It basically “clogs” about every couple months causing us to have to pump the entire pit out, etc. I’m wondering if it’s not installed properly or not adequate for our size home but I can’t get a straight answer out of the builder or the town inspectors on this.

Now I’ve got the original plumbers telling me I’m jamming it by flushing “baby wipes” and “paper towels” two things we’ve never flushed in our house ever. I’m at a loss with them as this seems like the latest in their incompetence manifesting because I’ve questioned why we keep having issues even after they come out and “fix” things and now I’m being blamed for flushing things I’ve never flushed.

Not sure how to remedy but I’ve got a 2 year old home I essentially can’t figure out how to live in when spending thousands every few months to pump out this septic pump pit that’s becoming a septic tank when the pumps malfunctioning and I’m stuck being accused of causing the problem which we most certainly are not. Anyone with knowledge on these, I’ll take any suggestions.
