Some questions for the people claiming that they voted for Trump out of spite
- Openly admitting that you voted for him because you got your feelings hurt by liberals using the word "LatinX" once or using words that end in "-ist" and "-phobe" and claiming that liberals need to never use these words again and only talk about Trump supporters in an extremally respectful and non-condescending way to win any future elections comes across as gaslighting to me. But it's the main talking point that I see repeated over and over again on Reddit so I was wondering if you could explain to me how this is perfectly normal and not an incredibly abusive way of trying to get someone to submit.
- Why did you think that voting for Trump out of spite would get liberals to stop looking down on Trump supporters and thinking that they're better and stop calling Trump supporters things that end in "-ist" and "-phobe?" Why would anyone think that this would cause liberals to warm up to Trump voters and think that they're not so bad or something like that?
- A core part of Trump's appeal was that he's not afraid to tell it like it is and say mean things about his opponents, the entire conservative "anti-woke" and "anti-SJW" culture revolves around saying offensive things about people who aren't straight and white, then laughing when you offend someone. So isn't it a little hypocritical that you expect liberals to be perfectly tolerant and accommodating of your feelings?
