need some guidance regarding braking in my scooter/scooty?
I have been riding scooty for some years now but Lately I have noticed that I do not use proper braking technique which has led to my scooty skidding(disc brake on front wheel) . The issue which occurs is that the rear wheel locks while braking I believe i might be pressing the brakes too quickly, which i have tried to avoid after my accident 1 month ago but even while riding the scooty at relatively lower speeds ( 30kmph or 40 kmph) when i apply the brakes the rear tyre again got locked and i again almost skidded last week.
since my last accident I have got my scooty serviced and the Brakepads were also changed and still the rear wheel got locked. My question here is what i might be doing wrong ? any tips or video link of youtube you guys could provide to help me understand easily the braking technique. 1.5 years ago also the same thing happened with another scooty which had skidded ( all these multiple instances have led me to believe that it might just be my fault and maybe i do not understand the proper braking technique for scooty/ bikes) while I am an experienced car driver, i struggle with two wheelers.
Also I am planning to get a new two wheeler in the coming days for daily office commute, what would be better for me in terms of safety while riding and majorly control (tbh i have never felt in control of my scooty even when riding it at lower speeds) ? I know the basics of riding the bike but do nothave the practice of doing so . I have heard people say bikes are relatively easier to control than a scooty , is there any truth to that ?
