Fluted Jubilee Datejust Blue 41mm or Black Submariner Date 41?

Hello Everyone! Would just like to ask your help in choosing a watch for longterm versatile watch that could be dressed up and down. Really want a submariner because of its versatility, but it’s just too similar to my BB58. With regards to the fluted jubilee datejust, I’m just concerned about depreciation as I’ve been seeing old models from earlier years have little value compared to Old Submariners from the past. Old submariners also look way better than Old datejust models.
