What is the most profitable animal to hunt?

Follow-up question; is it more profitable to sell an animal carcass or should you skin them and sell everything separately?

I already know that pelts from animals that aren’t common to a certain region sell for more there but I’m not trying to do a lot of traveling.

I also know that there are different types of pelts (Poor, Good, Pristine or Perfect.)

I’m just curious to which animal I should be farming. I’d also appreciate it if you could tell me the best spot to hunt said animal.
