Ladies, what are we doing with the grooming situation down there?

I have rocked a bush this whole pregnancy, my man likes it and I truly just can’t be bothered. I can’t see her anymore so she’s not my problem. I will be giving birth in a couple weeks and I’m starting to think that some trimmed or bald hedges will be easier to maintain after birth. I’m a first time mom so honestly the after birth down there situation scared me more than actual birth. I have never had a wax and I fear if I get one now she will just be irritated but I also can’t see her and my man is convinced he is gonna shave a lip off if he does it. So please help me decide how to groom her or if the bush even affects anything? Thank you!
