Does anyone here have experiences with co-ops? Either waitlist or vacancy applications

Hello everyone,

After what's been several years of regularly checking the CHFT website, I finally found an open waitlist for a co-op and after contacting them was sent an application.

This is my first time filing a coop application, are there specific things they are looking for when applying?

I also can't find actual rental costs for this co-op. Would I need to contact them again to inquire about this? I am not looking for a subsidy, but it is my understand that the rent for a co-op unit is still lower than the average rent in the city.

They also didn't indicate how long the waitlist is, am I right in assuming it's likely years long?

If there is anyone who is willing to share their thoughts or experience with cooperative housing in Toronto, I'd be incredibly appreciative.
