Pole Sit Tips?
Hey y’all, I’ve been practicing pole for about 3 months now and feel super comfortable with all of the beginner fundamentals (pole stand, carousel kick, fan kick, chair spins, etc.) but I’m finding that pole sits leave me with intense bruising and usually pain after doing them for awhile. Is this normal? Do you guys have any tips for thigh placement on the pole? (I feel like I squeeze the pole between my thighs at the midpoint of my femur to avoid sliding down the pole. Should I be hugging closer to my crotch?) Any tips would be appreciated, as none of the other moves cause me pain so I feel like I need to adjust something in my technique. Photo for fun
