Feeling a bit sad :(

So I'm a guy who's been poling since September/October last year. I'm making progress but not as fast as I would've hoped. I only get to do classes with my uni society once a week, so I don't get to do it often. All the same, I'm not making as much progress as some of my peers. Any advice.
