Megathread request: "Is ASA good/worth it/better than ASE/should I buy/etc"

Can we get a megathread for all of the "should I get this/is it worth it" posts? I'm in a few separate Ark subreddits and it seems like the vast majority of posts that come up fall under that heading (with second place being taken by "what is this floating thing").
