Mid to High Tier Gaming Laptop having FPS Issues.

First of all thank you for taking your time to read this.

I bought my ROG Strix G18 6-7 months ago and I have been noticing FPS micro stutters or 1-2 second hang ups while playing games far below the required specs (Dark and Darker, Throne and Liberty). I have updated to the newest Graphic Drivers and checked my GPU on a stress test which seemed to say it was good. I am at a loss for what to do next also I apologize for not being computer savvy so if I need to add more info please feel free to let me know.
