New paralegal asks: how does your desk look?
So...I’ve been hired at a firm that does tenant/housing law. Technically, I’m an assistant to the senior paralegal, but I do a shit ton of grunt work. I really enjoy the work I do thus far. This is my first time working in the legal field and I’m so lucky to gain this in-depth experience. With that being said, I want to know how to best organize my desk.
I have a bin for “incoming work” but should I have a bin for “to be filed”? Defendants? Should I keep new files in my drawer? I guess I’m having trouble staying organized? What are things I should keep close by?
The office itself is very disorganized. My project in the long run is to create templates of all the forms and contracts that we constantly need and grab (among many other projects lol).
So, what does your desk look like and what are some handy bins, items, tasks, etc that you keep close that help organize your work flow? Hope this question makes sense. Thank you!
