Sudden decline in padel performance after 1.5 years of playing
Hey everyone,
I've been playing padel for about a year and a half now. Started as a complete beginner without any prior racket experience. Up until a couple of months ago, I was steadily improving and feeling great about my progress. However, over the last two months, I've noticed a sudden decline in my performance.
The key problems I noticed:
Performance decline: My game has become inconsistent, and I feel like I'm not playing to my potential. Shots I used to make easily now feel difficult and it feels like I am always a second or two to late for the shot.
Mental fatigue: I often feel mentally drained, even before I start playing. Concentrating on the game has become a challenge. My mental game has declined to a point that if I play a series of bad shots in the first 30 minutes I just cant seem to lose the negative mindset and this affects the my performance for the rest of the match and my mood.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? What strategies or advice do you have to overcome this slump? Should I take a break, change my training routine, or focus on something specific to regain my form? Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
TL;DR: After 1.5 years of steady improvement, my padel performance has suddenly declined in the last two months. Feeling mentally fatigued. Seeking advice on how to get back on track.
