Red flag warning

I just saw that Orange County is now under a red flag warning, after only having a fire watch yesterday! Is this something to be worried about, should I have a bag packed, or is it more about staying ready for an evacuation notice? I’m still pretty new to California, so I’m not totally familiar with what all of this means.
