My best friend didn't choose me as his best man

I(27)'ve known this man (29) for over 20 years, no question is he one of the most important people in my life. He's a truely good person and one of 3 people on this earth that I can talk to about basically anything in my life, positive and negative.
Of course we don't spend as much time together as we used to in our youth, but it always felt like we were like Turk and JD, and if I would have married first there would have been no hesitation in choosing him as my best man. Yet he did not.
Around 10 years ago I introduced him to another good friend of mine, they later also started working together in the same company. He chose him over me.

I don't want to and will not bring this up with him, I don't want to cause a scene. I'm just hurt. It seems he doesn't view our friendship the same way I do anymore, and that sucks.
