A nontoxic defense of Elucian

If mates are equals then these are the equals we have so far:

Feyre at her core is an artist while Rhys is a dreamer. Both are selfless protectors, cunning, and both can set up elaborate schemes/traps. Obvs they are HL and HL. Possibly King and Queen.

Nesta at her core is a regal warrior while Cassian is the general. Both can be strategic in war and politics. Clearly she’s going to lead the Valkaryies (sp). They are both horn dogs 😄 With them the NC would have two military leaders.

Now we get to Elain and Lucian.

Elain is described in the first two books as having a smile that can win anyone over. In ACOTAR she was socializing around the room during Feyre’s welcome back ball. She plays hostess in ACOMAF.

Lucian is pretty much a friend to every court. He is emissary the NC, Spring Court and friend to Queen Vassa and Jurian. Even in the NC no one trusts him yet he still is employed by Rhys. He is incredibly likable. He probably got that from Helion.

Both are naturally observant with a wicked sense of humor. And who can forget that she is a Seer and he has an eye that can see through glamours. Lucian is a sensitive guy in some ways. He wears his emotions on his face in a way no one else seems to. Elain also seems to have this too but everyone always wants to shield her from bad things. Unfortunately no one shields Lucian. There is also a lot of mention of Elain wanting to travel to the Continent which is where Lucian does some of his work. Together they would be emissaries if not HL and HL of Spring or Day court.

I can’t wait to see how all of this would unfold if Elain and Lucian are endgame.
