Bottle sanitizer

Is a bottle sanitizer necessary? Can you wash the bottles and leave them to air dry before the next use? First time mom and looking at what I should definitely buy now before the big day, and this is one I’ve toggled on!

Edit: you have all convinced me! I totally forgot about the pump parts and that alone makes this worth it to me for when I return to work. Thanks!!
