LaMelo Ball and the Hornets

Casual NBA fan here. Just curious, has he ever given a reason for why he's sticking with the Hornets? The team has been... rather unimpressive for a while now, and while I'm not qualified to be an analyst by any means, he seems to be more than good enough to find success on a better team. Obviously he's the highest paid player on their roster, and maybe he'll have to take a salary cut if he goes somewhere else, but is there anything apart from that? Maybe there's an interview clip where he mentions that he's grateful to Charlotte for drafting him and wants to repay all the love and support by playing for them as long as he can?
