I am curious if you get compliments

I am curious to see if your n parents give you any compliments.

It's far and few with my n parents. Most compliments are about my looks or clothing. Someone once said it just goes back to them with them complimenting me on my looks. Like if I am good looking it means they are and have good genes.

Most the time it's put downs and what they think I am doing wrong in their heads. Like my n mom has told me I am a burden on society and I am not intelligent. My dad has said tons of stuff too and he will find things I am doing wrong.

Like he didn't like the road I drove one day and verbally abused me to take a different road or one day yelled at me cause I put the garbage in the trash can wrong. The trash can outside. I put a closed bag in the trash and put the lid on . Some how it was wrong.

So I was trying to think of compliments . It's always a really hard one because I can't think of much they have said.even over the years since I was a kid. A few weeks ago my mom complimented this really ugly shirt I wear when I have no clean clothing. Other than that I am drawling a blank.

So do you guys have any compliments your n parents give?

Btw her compliments on clothing are more manipulative than a compliment. She will tell me she likes things so I don't wear them or that she doesn't like it so I will wear it. I guess she still thinks I am a teen and it's not cool to wear things your mom likes. It's more just her trying to manipulate me into how she thinks I should dress . The ugly shirt though I have no clue if she liked it or not really .
