Pulled over on I94
On Sunday afternoon my wife and I were driving back home to Moorhead after a weekend visiting my parents in the West Metro. I was driving in the right lane and had my cruise set at 75 and had just gotten past Fergus Falls when a state trooper pulled onto the highway and promptly passed me in the left lane, but slowly. After passing me, he continued to drive in the left lane just ahead of me. I maintained a consistent speed the entire time (as mentioned, using cruise control).
After about 10-15 minutes or 15-20 miles, the trooper slowed down in the left lane. I maintained my speed and passed the trooper on the right. After I passed him, he came into the right lane and pulled me over.
The trooper was very aggressive with me, asking me why I thought it as a good idea to pass a marked trooper going the speed limit. I didn't want to argue with him, I just told him I didn't know what to say.
He let me off with a written warning. It was a very surreal experience and frankly, I haven't been able to shake it since. I honestly have passed marked troopers going 75 on I-94 in the past and never had an issue, so I'm really shocked.
