Necros & Other Streamers Defend Smurfing In Lowbie Competitive Games.
EDIT: I cannot seem to get the link working. Just Google it, quite a few people have clipped the relevant segments.
EDIT 2: Wow, okay so this kind of took off like a...(don't say roast chicken flavored condom again)...thing that takes off fast? Uh. But regardless, Necros is who he is and there will always be scumbag streamers/smurfs/cheaters. However just because it cannot be prevented doesn't mean it cannot be discouraged. Placement matches and making multiple accounts in comp bannable would strongly help the situation, hell - even the former on it's own could help. All I know is - wife has about 100 games in the metal ranks now. We're marking down games with smurfs and it's absolutely unreal how many there are. And that's just the incredibly obvious or happy to admit it ones...
I won't lie, this bothered me a little bit. It's one thing smurfing to learn a new hero. That comes down to QP being insane and punishment bots being the worst idea since the roast chicken flavored condom. It 100% sucks, but I get it.
However - this is quite another. Guy does nothing but roll up new accounts to torture new players and casuals on his main hero.
His reasoning as far as I understand it comes down to 'this game makes losing feel bad so I only want to win' and 'I don't like old people and 9-5ers and want to ruin their experience'. Yes, the latter might be a tiny bit tongue-in-cheek but yeah, in risu veritas and all that.
There was another video of a streamer saying something similar but I'm struggling to find it.
What is interesting is the comments, where someone talks about the developers addressing the smurfing problem in a post, but I'm not seeing anything on this.
