Doing a ‘nights’ run to hit titanium

Currently have 68 night + 5 nights reward for plat. Will need 2 nights for Titanium. There’s a small new Springhill suites near me.

Anyone have experience with just booking on points and doing mobile checkin and key? Do I need to at least go into the room?
