$140 back Amex offer triggered because of my Homes & Villas stay outside of US?
Just a curious data point about an Amex offer.
I had this 'Spend $350 get $140 back' Amex offer ealier this year. I was gonna just skip this one and let it expire because I had no travel plan to any of those places stated in T&C.
Today, out of nowhere, this $140 refund appeared on my account from Homes & Villas. It took me a while to figure out it's actually that 140 back offer and it is indeed marked as redeemed now. I had only two H&V stays this summer, and either was in North America (Seoul & London), so can only assume this is becasue all H&V bookings, regarless of their actual location, are treated as stays in a US Marriott property (which kinda makes sense since all those bookings are in fact charged by H&V based in US).
So that's that. Always happy to see this kind of surprise and hope this might come in handy for those who want to trigger a simialr offer in the future, without necessarily booking a NA property.
