Should I buy M4 Max macbook?

Hey guys i have a M1 Max Macbook Pro with 64GB & 2TB. I'm in abit of limbo Wether I should buy the M4 Max it looks appealing af but then again should I wait until M5 Max or perhaps wait & go second hand? To get the spec i want is almost $8000 I mostly do music production and find myself printing alot to audio to save CPU. Software: Cubase Pro & Final Cut Pro, occasional video editing on for music videos.
