Should I go back to Mac?

I had a macbook Pro years ago (2009) and it served me well. But in the end I turned to windows (partly due to the issues with excel for mac - limitations with VBA etc).

I'm now in the windows ecosystem and rely on one drive for file storage and I'm still a heavy excel user, use Anaconda for python.

I'm after a new laptop but build quality has never matched what mac offer. Microsoft surface 7 15" is looking like a contender but the ARM processor comes with a bunch of app incompatibility..

I need a machine with 32gb ram (for windows 11 this is needed if you dont want to run into issues), ability to play back 4k video and connect to 2 large external 3k monitors. Ability to code in python and run excel models (and use all shortcuts available in windows excel - my productivity will take a dive if I can't use office products with the same shortcuts as I do at work). I also hate overheating/fan noise and will use laptop on my actual lap.

I have an android phone and don't plan to ever get an iPhone (another reason why I've been avoiding going back to apple as I'll never be fully integrated)...

Thoughts welcome!
