Ledger OS 1.3.1 Update

Ledger Live management software is updated to 2.96.0 - I verified this with https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-live/releases

However, I also see a message in Ledger Live that says, "OS Update is available 1.3.1," and it asks me to connect to the ledger. Is this normal?

Is there any way like Github to verify the OS release?

My concern is how do you ensure the update is legit.
