Has your lab ever protected you?

I have a chocolate (field bred) lab named Aspen. Last winter, I went on a late night walk with her. Since it was late, I let my lab off the leash (though I have it on me at all times). Aspen saw this sketchy guy before I did and she barked at him. I had her heel next to me, and he continued to stalk me to my car. When we got to my car, Aspen barked at him again and then he walked away, trying to conceal his face.

My question is: Has your lab ever protected you?
