I have 3 questions:

  1. I am at -1 modifier for my roll and roll a 6, does it change to a 5 as a result? I don't think so but my opponent did. (I am getting conflicting answers from the comments here too.)

  2. If I am within engagement range of an enemy operative, can I throw a grenade at a different enemy operative? Same question, except now I am on Guard.

  3. Can you choose to discard successful attacks? For example, if an enemy charges me, but I don't want to kill them in that turn, can I discard my successful attacks after parrrying all their attacks?

  4. I have a shoot on death ability. If I am killed in a single hit and make my attack roll, do I roll at a -1 modifier for that attack? (Iconward ability Broodmind Devotion.)
