Dramas with strong bromance
Hello everyone. I'm looking for dramas that have a strong bromance. And when I say bromance, I don't mean all the funny and silly stuff between two friends or something like that. I'm looking for a deep and meaningful connection between two male characters, with a relationship that goes beyond that. I want to see two characters who are always there for each other, who support each other unconditionally and care about each other significantly. I don't want to see love triangles, or two friends whose relationship is damaged because of some girl like in quite a few dramas. No, I want a relationship that's much stronger than that. I've seen quite a few romantic MxF dramas and BL, but to me there's something simply amazing about a relationship between two straight men who truly love each other and care about each other a lot. If I see a relationship like that in dramas, it steals the whole show and manages to capture my heart more than any other relationship. For me, it wins everything. Therefore, I would love recommendations for dramas with a relationship like that.
Dramas I've already seen and liked:
The Devil Judge (2021) - This is perhaps my favorite drama. Since I saw it, nothing else has come close to matching it. The relationship between the two main male characters is something out of this world. It's intense, gripping, moving, and it just made me addicted to the series. The plot itself was also suspenseful and interesting, exactly my favorite genre.
Beyond Evil (2021) - Another drama that came out that year that became my addiction. Beyond the mysterious and creepy plot that kept me on edge the whole time, the relationship between the two main male characters stole the show. The interaction between them was so complex and developed over time, it was just perfect.
Twinkling Watermelon (2023) - I know that this drama also had romance, and even a small love triangle, at least at the beginning. But, and this is a big BUT, the heart of the plot was the relationship between the father and son. Their relationship simply captured my heart and moved me so much, many times to tears.
Rugal (2020) - I know that many people didn't like this drama, and that there were quite a few problems with it in terms of the plot. Still, I liked it. And I mainly brought it up as an example to explain what kind of relationship I'm looking for, even in a less successful drama. I'm talking about Kang Gi-beom and Han Tae-kwoong's relationship, of course. Throughout the series, you saw how much they truly cared about each other. They were always there for each other, and their friendship was actually the most interesting relationship in the series, and it was what made me keep watching it until the end.
Other dramas I've seen and liked:
At a Distance, Spring Is Green (2021), Bad and Crazy (2021), Bloodhounds (2023), Circle Two Worlds Connected (2017), D.P (2021), Entertainer (2016), Ghost Doctor (2022), Hello, Monster (2015), High School Return of a Gangster (2024), Mad Dog (2017), Move to Heaven (2021), My Country The New Age (2019), Navillera (2017), School 2013 (2012), Suits (2018), The Good Detective (2022), The Miracle Brothers (2023), Tunnel (2017), Weak Hero Class 1 (2022).
Thank you very much!
